To better appreciate the work of any artist, it is helpful to know the story behind their work. And there is no better way to do that than “in conversation” with the artist themselves. With that in mind, we have imagined dansMuseum #5 as a series of conversations with Toer van Schayk in hopes of accessing the archive of his unique artistic experience. In this exhibition you are invited to listen in as he discusses five of his works with five different guests—each conversation revealing new insights about the works themselves and his iconoclastic practice.
